Germany-based tableware and bath and wellness major Villeroy & Boch AG has launched its Indian subsidiary Villeroy & Boch Sales India. Further, the company will open around 18 stores in 2009 to offer its products to the Indian consumers, according to a company press release.
The stores will be opened in shop-in-shop, flag ship and of a unique customer-oriented marketing concept called ‘The House of Villeroy & Boch’. With around 18 value partners already roped in across top 15 cities of India, Villeroy & Boch is looking for to make inroads into residential projects as well as capture some market for the renovation segment as well.
Announcing the launch, Rahul Kher, country manager, Villeroy & Boch India, said, “There is a strong need for a premium brand in the bath and wellness ceramics category in India, as consumers have started taking bathroom space more seriously than ever. Our biggest challenge will be to champion the concept of lifestyles for bath and wellness category and also to reveal the good price-performance ratio.”
Currently, the company has on offer products including sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture, bathtubs, whirlpool systems, shower systems and trays, steam cabins and taps, added the release.
