Mumbai-based Crossroads, India’s first new age shopping mall is all set to be relaunched under the name SoBo Central.
According to sources close to the development, Future Group is relaunching the mall as SoBo Central, a seamless mall with over 500 national and international brands across categories including apparels, cosmetics, fragrances, eyewear, watches, accessories, sportswear, toys, mobiles.
However, the official announcement will be made soon, added a source.
SoBo Central would also include a food court and fine dining to complete the shopping experience.
Future Group bought over the place from Ashok Piramal Group in March 2006 for around Rs 3.5 billion to relaunch it as a lifestyle mall. The Piramals set up Crossroads as the first mall in India with great fanfare in 1999.
