Chennai-based FMCG major CavinKare is all set to launch its fruit juice brand Maa to the western part of the country. As part of the plan, the product would be available in those markets starting April this year. Further, the company is planning to add more flavours to its current portfolio of mango, apple, pineapple and pink guava, reports The Economic Times.
“We are moving to the western region of India and are in the process of setting up a distribution network for the same,” quoted Ramesh Viswanathan, executive director, CavinKare in the report.
CavinKare has acquired the manufacturer of the brand Maa Fruits in the first quarter of 2008 at an enterprise value of Rs 300 million.
With this proposed expansion, the company targets to double its revenues from the brand to more than Rs 1 billion in the coming fiscal and expects to end the year with a turnover of Rs 7 billion, added the report.
