In an attempt to ramp up its distribution network, Chennai-based FMCG major CavinKare has set up its own distribution arm under a group company called Hemalatha Enterprises Pvt Ltd, which will run parallely with its existing network.
“The new set-up will run only as a parallel distribution system in the market in cities and towns including Chennai, Puducherry, Kadalur, Dindivanam, Coimbatore, Erode and Madurai,” quoted CK Ranganathan, CMD, CavinKare in Business Line as saying.
“If the distribution system gets better equipped with necessary technology, enough manpower and logistics support, our products can reach more outlets in time,” he added.
“CavinKare is all set to post 23-25 per cent growth in the last quarter of the current fiscal and expects to go past the Rs 7 billion mark in turnover. We expect this to be the best ever quarter for the company,” concluded Ranganathan.
