India’s leading fine coffee cafe chain and a division of coffee conglomerate Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Café Coffee Day (CCD) has won the award for the ‘Most admired F&B retailer of the year: Cafes & parlours’ at the Coca-Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2009.
The awards were held under the umbrella of Food Forum India.
Other nominees under the category included Barista, Costa Cofee, Baskin Robbins and Gellato Italiano.
With 718 coffee outlets, the company enjoys strong presence in NCR with 114 outlets. The company which operates in India through company-owned outlets is also present in overseas market of Karachi, Pakistan and Vienna, Austria with 18 franchisee outlets.
