Amit Burman, vice-chairman, Dabur India Ltd and chairman of Lite Bite Foods has bagged the most admired food professional of the year in the food & beverage category at the prestigious Coca-Cola Golden Spoon Award under the umbrella of Food Forum India 2009 in Mumbai.
On receiving the award, Burman said, “It demonstrates that we, at Lite Bite Foods, are on the right track to become the most preferred F&B service provider in the country. This award is truly dedicated to our high-quality service and hard-working team. The award also brings with it a greater responsibility and promise to excel in our work.”
The other nominees in the category were Niren Chaudhary of Yum Restaurants, Anjan Chatterjee of Speciality Restaurants and Sunil Kapur of Blue Foods.
Lite Bite Foods operates number of formats including quick service restaurants (QSRs), casual dining restaurants (CDRs), fine dining restaurants, food courts, caterings and cafés. It plans to invest Rs 2 billion over the next three years to establish a pan-India network of 200 restaurants.
Coca-Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2009 are decided on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of votes from consumers through a pan India survey in seven leading metros along with votes from leading industry experts in the field of food & beverage and food & grocery retailing.
