Pantaloon Retail is planning to roll out a total of 15 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs ) and 25 shop-in-shop (SIS) outlets by the end of the year 2009. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Rajat Luthra, CEO, Celio Future Fashion Ltd, informed, “At present, Celio has three EBOs and 14 SIS. In all we plan to have 15 EBOs and 25 SIS by the end of the year 2009.”
Out of the 15 EBOs that Celio plans, three are lined up at Noida, Mumbai and New Delhi. Besides these, Celio stores are also planned for Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The average store size, according to Luthra, would range between 1,500-2,000 square feet.
On being inquired about the performance of Celio stores so far, Luthra stated, “The brand has just been launched in December 2008 and we are closely monitoring its performance.”
“However, Celio is among the top performing brands in all the SIS formats where we are present and the sales performance has been encouraging.”
“The three exclusive stores of Celio which have been opened in new malls are still in preliminary stages. Hence it would be too early to comment on their performance as the malls are not completely occupied and operational.”
