Leading FMCG company Dabur India has launched three new variants of anti-dandruff shampoos under its premium hair care brand Vatika. Further, the company has signed actress Preity Zinta as the brand ambassador for the Vatika shampoo range, according to a company press release.
Vikas Mittal, executive vice president – marketing (personal care), said, “The new range offers improved product performance with enhanced conditioning, improved dandruff control and additional active natural ingredients to reduce scalp itchiness.”
Elaborating Preity Zinta’s association with the brand, Mittal added, “Preity is a perfect fit for the brand as she exemplifies the brand attributes and has values synergistic to the brand via her various social associations.” Dabur is also introducing a new premium packaging for the Vatika shampoo range. “The new packaging shape is distinctly different from the existing range of Vatika shampoos and comes with new graphics with ‘Dandruff Control’ as the sub-brand.”
Hair Care segment contributes about 85 per cent of the personal care business for Dabur India Ltd and the portfolio includes hair oils, shampoos and the newly launched range of conditioners, added the release.
