In spite of the global economic meltdown, luxury brand Montblanc is moving ahead with its investments and retail plans around the world. The label’s first jewellery salon is now operational at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace and Towers. Montblanc has around 16 boutiques in India and 350 around the world.
Further, four more exclusive outlets are expected to come up in Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata by the end of 2009, according to sources. As far as expansion plans are concerned, India will be an important destination for the brand, said the source.
Exclusive writing instruments such as Meisterstuck Solitaire Royal and Haute Joaillerie are some of the exquisite offerings from the brand at the newly opened jewellery salon. Interestingly, the salon will also have books with images and sketches illustrating some of the spectacular pieces that can be custom designed by the Montblanc Artisan Atelier.
