Sanitaryware major Cera has partnered with Italian wellness brand Novellini and launched a wide range of bathroomware collection of the international brand including shower enclosures, equipped panels, steam cubicles and hydro massage bath tubs in the Indian market, according to a company press release.
On the joint-venture, Vidush Somany, executive director, Cera, said, “The demand for wellness products is increasing in India. We have tied up with Novellini to tap this growing potential.”
While Marco Novellini, CEO and co-owner of Novellini stated, “Novellini selected Cera as its Indian partner looking to Cera’s premium brand image, deep retail penetration and ready marketing infrastructure. The tie up is part of Novellini’s strategic expansion plan to Asian and American markets.” Currently the range is available in Cera Vogue as well as select showrooms in Delhi and will soon be displayed in all Cera Bath Studios across the country.
Cera has seen a topline growth of 25 percent in the financial year 2008-09 with net sales gone up by 25 percent from Rs 128 crore to Rs 160 crore and net profit by 30 percent from Rs 10.05 crore to Rs1 3.10 crore. The company is focusing on retail network expansion, rural penetration and concentration on small and medium developers and is upbeat about the launch of Novellini. “We expect that this launch will certainly add a further boost to Cera’s growth path,” concluded Vidush Somany.
