Daily Bread, a wholly owned subsidiary of Britannia Industries Ltd, plans to expand its franchisees and master franchisees in major cities across the country. As part of the plan, the company has tied up with the Franchise India Holdings Limited (FIHL), a leading integrated franchise solution providing company.
According to Gaurav Marya, president, Franchise India, “Daily Bread hopes that the franchise opportunities would help the brand to boost up the sales across the country. Our strategy for the brand would not only be limited to boost up the sales but also to increase the growth and network for the company.”
The company today owns and operates three registered brands – Daily Bread, Deluca’s and Daily Brew. While the company manufactures and retails a range of breads including baguettes, rolls and ciabattas under the brand name Daily Bread; Deluca’s is an ultra premium quality and about 96 per cent fat free Italian gelato and frozen dessert brand and Daily Brew is the brand name for premium espresso bars.
Daily Bread currently has over 20 outlets operational in Bengaluru and Goa.
Meanwhile, Britannia will now be using small packs to stimulate sales for its biscuits. This new marketing strategy will help the company in attracting more customers for its products at tea kiosks in urban, semi-urban and rural areas, asserts the company.
Britannia’s biscuits brands such as Good Day, Bourbon and Treat will now be available in Rs 5 packs. Britannia plans to make all of these biscuits available even at small tea shops.
