In an exclusive interview, Santosh Rajan senior manager of operations at GFA, informed that GFA is looking to open 100 new stores by the end of fiscal 2009-2010. The company is all set to launch its latest dine-in outlet in Kachi Bholi in Hyderabad. While information on the exact size of the outlet was not available, Rajan further informed that the company is looking toward cities such as Hyderabad and Chennai for its immediate expansion, followed by Bangalore which would be next on the cards. “We would break-up the number (of hundred outlets) between the three cities of Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. Once having gained ground in Hyderabad and Chennai, we’d look towards Bangalore for expansion,” states Rajan.
Rajan also refuted the claims of other media reports about GFA’s tying up with Game Hospitality as its master franchisee for the eastern region, as also about GFA getting into SIS(shop-in-shop) formats.
