V-Mart Retail Ltd — the chain of medium-sized hypermarket stores with focus on Tier II and Tier III cities has added two more stores to its portfolio. The two stores are located in the districts of Sultanpur and Renukut respectively. The two stores together take the total store count of V-Mart stores to 57.
The V-Mart store opened in Sultanpur measures 7,000 square feet in size and stocks merchandise ranging from apparel to electronics, luggage and home furnishing. The V-Mart store in Renukut is 8,000 square feet in size and stocks a similar range of merchandise as its other medium-size hypermarkets.
On the occasion of store launch, Lalit Aggarwal, chairman and managing director of V-Mart Retail Ltd stated, “The Company primarily caters to the burgeoning middle and lower-middle segment consumer group, which forms an integral part of India’s growing purchasing power.”
“It has been our constant endeavour to reach out to masses and offer world-class shopping experience at affordable prices. Therefore we have deliberately expanded in tier-II and tier-III cities,” he added.
With the newly opened two stores in UP, V-Mart has expanded its reach to 43 cities in the northern and western regions of India. The total square feet space of the retail chain, including the two stores, is 4 lakh square feet.
