Svaastha – the Harmony spa at Coorg was inaugurated on February 5, adding to the other five Svaastha spas which are already in operation at Varca Beach, Goa; Ashtamudi, Munnar, Kerala; Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan and Zest Big Beach, Puducherry.
The 9,000 square feet spa is built on 32 acre at Club Mahindra Kodagu Valley Resort, Coorg and is owned and operated by Mahindra Holiday & Resort India Ltd.
“We have done extensive research on various treatments and therapies that induce well being,” says Ramesh Ramanathan, Managing Director, Mahindra Holidays & Resort India Ltd (MHRIL). It has six indoor and two outdoor spa therapy rooms along with a gym, beauty salon, relaxation, yoga and meditation deck. It offers a wide range of spa therapies that includes Ayurveda, Aroma, Swedish, Balinese and Thai.
The spa, designed in the traditional Kodava architectural style is spread over two levels. The upper level is inspired by Ayurvedic traditions and presents the five elements with walls adorning canvases that represent an element. On the lower level, there is a Buddha statue. The balance of mind, body and spirit is represented on either side of the statue.
The next spa is expected to open at the new resort in Tungi.
