Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd (PRIL) announced an unaudited results for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. It reported a net profit of Rs.325 million for the third quarter ended March 31, 2010 whereas its net profit during the same period a year ago was Rs.343.70 million.
Total income has decreased from Rs.16436.90 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 6031.30 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. The results of the third quarter and nine-month period are not comparable as the company has transferred its value retail business to its wholly-owned subsidiary Future Value Retail, Pantaloon Retail India said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Currently, PRIL has 46 stores operational stores in 26 cities in India including Agra (one), Ahmedabad (three), Bengaluru (three), Baroda (one), Bhubhaneshwar (one), Chennai (two), Delhi (four), Ghaziabad (one), Gurgaon (two), Guwahati (one), Hyderabad (two), Indore (one), Kanpur (one), Kolkata (five), Lucknow (one), Mangalore (one), Mumbai (seven), Nagpur (one), Nashik (one), Navi Mumbai (one), Noida (one), Pune (one), Rajkot (one), Siliguri (one), Surat (one) and Zirakpur (one).
