Tony Ward, a renowned name in the real estate and retail sector, both internationally and in India, has joined Beyond Squarefeet, a boutique mall advisory company promoted by Susil Dungarwal, a retail-mall veteran, as COO – Leasing.
Ward will be responsible for the most strategic function of leasing and fit-out management at Beyond Squarefeet.
Susil Dungarwal, founder and chief mall mechanic, Beyond Squarefeet, said, “Ward’s experience of managing more than five million sq.ft of mall development will add to the already experienced team of Beyond Squarefeet. His knowledge of the retail and real estate sector internationally will help ensure we harness this potential and fully realise growth opportunities before us.”
Ward most recently served as COO, Leasing, for The Phoenix Mills Ltd, Mumbai, and used to manage all the Market City malls for them along with Palladium. Prior to Phoenix, he was part of the initial team of Wal-Mart in India, where he spent almost five years. Ward was also with West Pioneer Properties, managing their mall in Kalyan. He has over two decades of experience in operations, leasing and business development.
