Coffee shop chain Cafe Coffee Day, popularly known as CCD, plans to open new outlets and revamp the existing ones.
It will invest Rs.130-crore in the ongoing fiscal to launch 180 new outlets and revamp the existing ones with a new logo, a company official said.
“We will be investing Rs.130 crore this fiscal for a complete makeover, right from changing the logo to renovating the interiors and adding new formats such as Lounge and Square,” CCD director Alok Gupta said.
The chain, which has close to 970 company-owned outlets and 1,000 CCD Express joints on franchise agreement, plans to increase its stand-alone outlets to 1,150 this fiscal. “By 2015, we intend to touch the 2,000-mark,” Gupta said.
Of the 180 CCD joints, 65 would be the new format Lounges, while there would be eight Squares. These outlets would have an area of 1,200 sq.ft and 2,000 sq.ft, respectively.
“The Lounge and Square will have have customised menus, in addition to catering to local taste buds,” Gupta said, adding CCD will take the brand beyond the metros.
