Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC), the American lifestyle brand which was introduced in India by Spencer’s Retail last year, has marked its presence in Mumbai with the opening of a 1,000 sq.ft store at Mega Mall, Andheri West. The store has both minimum guarantee and revenue-sharing models with the mall. BHPC plans to open at least six stores in Mumbai by the year-end.
Asserting that BHPC stores are witnessing a positive ROI and healthy sales per sq.ft area, Anurag Rajpal, vice-president – apparel, Spencer’s Retail Limited, said, “After successfully establishing the brand in Delhi/NCR and Punjab, we have forayed into Mumbai. We will also expand our presence in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Dehradun.”
Beverly Hills Polo Club currently operates six standalone stores in Delhi/NCR and three stores in Punjab. The average size of a BHPC store is approximately 1,200 sq.ft.
The company estimates the same-store sales growth to be in the range of 15-20 per cent.
