Mexus Education is opening its Iken Store at Raghuleela Mall in Mumbai. The 300 sq.ft store will be inaugurated on July 11.
“We have opted a market-driven rental model, instead of revenue sharing model, as our products are unique and we carry the first mover advantage in this domain. We strongly realise that our products have unique features and can move independently in the market," says Saurabh Saxena, director, Mexus Education.
Mexus Education is one of the frontrunners to identify the educational retailing market as the need of the hour. “With a strong focus on research and development of ‘edutainment’ products, Mexus Education has launched over 200 products in this space under the aegis of its brand – Iken – and has worked upon creating a steady pipeline for more innovative products in these segments – Iken Books, Iken Pro, Iken, Library and Iken Joy," adds Saxena.
“We are planning to open Iken Stores in Kolkata, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad by the year-end," he adds.
The retailer currently has 35 modern retail touch points, including four standalone company-owned Iken Stores with a total area of 2,000 sq.ft and shop-in-shop presence with country’s leading retailers, such as Crossword at Shoppers Stop, Reliance TimeOut, Landmark, More, Hamleys and Lifestyle.
