Segece Group, a leader in shopping centre development and management in Europe, has announced the appointment of Nicolas Delarocque as new managing director for its India operations. He has replaced Thomas Aquizerate. Segece Group is a subsidiary of BNP Paribas and manages close to 400 shopping centres across 13 European countries with around 19,300 leases and 5.2 million sq.mt of space.
Alain Vergne, director – international commercial – Segece Group, said, “Delarocque is a seasoned professional and we need someone at the helm with experience and agility to steer us into whole new areas.”
Post graduated in retail development, Delarocque has been with the Segece Group for over four years. He was earlier responsible for setting up and leasing of 17 shopping centres in France.
“At Segece India, my biggest challenge would be to further strengthen and widen our network across India. The company has tremendous potential for growth. Taking into account the strong and rich heritage of the group in Europe, we plan to be present for a long term in India,” said Delarocque.
Segece India has been leasing space in some of the best shopping centres in the country for the last two years. The company has progressively established its position in the Indian retail shopping centre market.
