Bata India Limited, footwear retailer and manufacturer, announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2010. The company’s profit before tax (PBT) grew by 46 per cent at Rs.3,968.7 lakhs as against Rs.2,718.4 lakhs in the same period last year. The net sales of the company grew by 13.4 per cent at Rs.35,006.7 lakhs as against Rs.30,862.6 lakhs in the same period last year.
For the half-year period ending 30th June 2010, the company’s PBT grew by an impressive 40 per cent at Rs.6,072.4 lakhs as against Rs.4,341.9 lakhs in the same period last year. The net sales of the Company grew by 12.5 per cent at Rs.60,922.1 lakhs as against Rs.54,165.8 lakhs in the same period last year.
