City Centre Siliguri to open in Dec 2010

City Centre Siliguri, a mall being developed by Ambuja Realty, will open its doors to the public in December this year. Spread over 10 acres of land located on National Highway 31, City Centre Siliguri is slated to become the city’s biggest shopping destination.

The shopping centre, designed by Delhi-based Morphogenesis, offers 4.5 lakh sq.ft of gross leasable area to international, national and local brands converging under one roof.

To cater to the city’s increasing demand for lifestyle and entertainment, City Centre Siliguri houses department stores, a cineplex, food courts, banquet facility, restaurants, gaming zone, kiosks, a business centre and over 200 shops."In City Centre Siliguri, we have tried to create an offering that appeals to every aspiration and need of the residents in and around the city" says Harshvardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Realty.

While the anchor stores, including Shoppers Stop, Spencer’s, Max Lifestyle and BIG Cinemas, take up almost 1.5 lakh sq.ft of the mall space, another 3.3 lakh sq.ft has been dedicated to vanilla stores such as Adidas, Aawrun, Bata, Biba, Café Coffee Day, Converse, Gini & Jony, Golden Tips, Hoffmen, John Players, Levi’s, L’Oreal, Metro, Music World, Nike, Nokia, Peter England, Planet M, Samsonite, Tea Junction, Titan, Turtle and Wills Lifestyle, among others.

Apart from its interesting mix of brands, City Centre will house a four-screen cineplex operated by BIG Cinemas. With a seating capacity of 1,000 people, it will be the city’s first multiplex.

The mall will have a 75,000 sq.ft atrium lobby – Celebration Square – dedicated to host events and act as a family hangout zone.

City Centre Siliguri will also have a unique travellers’ lounge – Klub Kanchenjunga – that will enable people to check in, freshen up and use the services at the business centre.

Built with an investment of Rs.280 crore, the mall is part of Ambuja Realty’s integrated township ‘Uttorayan’.

Ambuja Realty is currently developing 1.2 million sq.ft of modern shopping space in tier II locations such as Raipur, Haldia and Patna.
