Arvind Limited, the textile conglomerate and one of the leading apparel retailers, recently launched a new exclusive brand outlet (EBO) concept – The Arvind Store – in Hyderabad. The store, a ‘first-of-its-kind’ retail concept by the Ahmedabad-based textile retailer, claims to bring together the best of custom tailoring and ready-made apparel.
Talking about the new initiative, Sanjay Lalbhai, chairman and managing director, Arvind Ltd, said, “We are introducing the ‘first-of-its-kind’ retail concept as part of our aggressive expansion strategy. We plan to increase the number of outlets in the state to 20 by the end of this fiscal.”
Informing that the company hopes to double its fabric retail revenues from Rs.400 crore to Rs.800 crore over the next three years, Lalbhai said, “We are hopeful the newly-launched concept will account for around 25 per cent of this revenue generation.”
Kulin S Lalbhai, chief manager, Arvind Limited, said, “This exciting new format will bring many firsts in Indian retail. Being introduced for the first time ever, perhaps in the world, is the ‘Arvind Denim Lab’, where customers can completely personalise their denim, right from the kind of leather patches and buttons they want to placing their initials on the pocket.”
The Arvind Store promises to house the best brands from the house of Arvind. While Arrow will offer an entire men’s lifestyle range, including formal shirts to trousers, US Polo, one of the fastest growing brands in the casual section, will offer premium, washed casual shirts. Similarly, Flying Machine, a youth-focussed denim brand, will offer denim products.
