Carrefour, the world’s second-largest retailer by sales, has recently launched two new supermarkets in Rumania – at Bucharest and Alexandria.
The store at Bucharest extends over a sales area of 780 sq.mt and has seven cash counters, while the one at Alexandria is spread over a sales area of 530 sq.mt and has six cash counters.
Meanwhile, the retailer, in a bid to extend its presence in China, has inaugurated a new store in the city of Liaoyang.
The store extends over a sales area of 7.213 sq.mt and has 33 cashiers.
The Carrefour group currently operates four main grocery store formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, hard discount and convenience stores. The group has over 15,500 stores, including company-operated and franchise, across the world.
