Orient Ceramics and Industries Ltd (OCIL), one of the largest manufacturers of tiles for walls, floors and facades and pioneers in floor and wall solutions, has opened a ‘Europa Boutique’ store in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The 2,100-sq.ft franchise store, which will enable customers to touch, feel and experience the company’s entire product range, is Orient Ceramics’ first Europa Boutique in the region and fourth in the country. The other three are located in Rudrapur, Guwahati and Coimbatore.
Madhur Daga, executive director, Orient Ceramics and Industries Limited, says, “Our decision to open a franchisee in Raipur was based on the research that showed the city required a place where people can touch and feel tiles and then decide what kind of tiles will become a style statement for their home, office or for commercial use. We are offering the widest range of selection for all types of buyers.”
OCIL has major retail expansion plans. “We intend to have 100,000 sq.ft of retail area by the end of the current fiscal,” says Daga.
The company, Daga adds, will be investing heavily in franchisees, company-owned-company-operated (COCO) showrooms and shop-in-shop formats (SIS).
