Amway India, the direct-selling FMCG company, is planning to set up its second manufacturing facility in South India. The company, a 100 percent subsidiary of US-based Amway Corporation, has been witnessing a 25 percent year-on-year growth. “It would help the company to boost its sales and increase its product range. The second facility would cater to the growing south and western markets, while the present facility (at Baddi) will focus on northern and eastern markets,” says Yoginder Singh, Vice-President – Legal and Corporate Affairs, Amway India and Vice Chairman – Indian Direct Selling Association. Amway India has inked an agreement with Baddi-based vendor, Sarvotham Care Ltd, to set up the manufacturing facility. Curently, Sarvotham Care manufactures about 85 percent of the company’s products.
