SRS Cinemas, a part of SRS Group, has entered Punjab by opening a four-screen multiplex at Omaxe Mall, Patiala. The new multiplex, with a seating capacity of 1,117 people, is the 10th SRS Cinemas in India. Other multiplexes are present in Faridabad, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Bijnor.
Stressing that SRS Cinemas is one of the fastest growing verticals within the SRS portfolio, Anil Jindal, CMD, SRS Group, said, “We are working towards expanding our network on a pan-India basis, and we are happy to inaugurate our 10th multiplex in Punjab. We are entering Punjab with strong momentum on the brand, with a very healthy growth in this region as well as consumer equity scores.”
He further said SRS Cinemas aimed to provide audiences with incomparable, best-in-class and top-of-the-line facilities and make their movie-viewing experience a memorable one.
With the opening of the multiplex in Patiala, SRS now has 27 screens with a total capacity of 6,919 seats across three states.
SRS plans to invest around Rs.50 crore to add 23 more screens to its current portfolio of 27 screens and take the total number of screens to 50 by the end of this year.
