Chisel & Hammer (Mobel) Ltd has opened a new exclusive jewellery store at Camac Street, Kolkatta, under the name Gld Amarna. The store measures 3000 sq.ft and is located in the heart of the city.
Pushpesh Kumar Baid, company’s chairman and managing director, said, “Our Gld Amarna stores will exhibit not just jewellery but also blend two of the most ancient cultures. Gld Amarna, in the near future, will be recognised as one of the most reputed international brands in jewellery with exclusive outlets in all major cities.”
“The jewellery market in India is around Rs.1,00,000 crore of which branded retailers make up for only 3-4 per cent. The company expects this venture to be huge success in the near future,” he added.
In September, the company opened on electronic retail store in Kolhapur under the brand name ‘mobiles n gadgets’. The company will also be opening spa and wellness centre in the near future.
Chisel & Hammer, which recently came under the new management, will also focus to grow inorganically by acquisitions.
