The prestige Japanese skincare and cosmetics brand, Shiseido, is planning to compete stronger in the global prestige cosmetics market by innovating its luxury brand Clé de Peau Beauté. Beginning with the Japanese market, Shiseido will launch 21 products in January 2011 from the Clé de Peau portfolio in eight countries and regions in Asia and two countries comprising US and Canada in North America. In an effort to make it as strong as Shiseido and to enhance its value and presence as a luxury brand, Clé de Peau Beauté will be marketed without the Shiseido branding.
