Malini Ramani for LFW Grand Finale

Must Read

Malini Ramani will be the Grand finale designer for Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2010, announced Lakmé. The fashion week is scheduled from September 17–21, 2010.

Malini’s association with Lakmé and fashion week goes back 10 years. Her first collaboration was one of the best remembered Lakmé Grand Finale themes, Mosaic. And, now she is back for LFW Winter/Festive to explore a space close to her distinct style, converging bohemian flamboyance with laidback verve.

Lakme’s theme for this season is: “Gypsy Collection” for the Lakme Grand Finale by Malini Ramani. The Gypsy Collection will bring together many influences from around the globe, inspired by Malini’s own journeys of stimulating inspiration.

Malini says, “The Lakmé Gypsy collection is based on Lakmé`s winter palette dedicated to the Gypsy within us all. The finale will see me working through a completely new point of view in the colours and influences that are impacting my journey through this collection. The gypsy spirit has caught me and I feel I am journeying beyond my familiar space, in ways that have taken me by surprise as well.”

On the association, N. Rajaram, Vice President, Lakmé said, “Lakmé through the years has constantly evolved to keep pace with the effervescent, ever changing Indian woman and present to her an exciting and everlasting beauty experience, through its exclusive range of products. This season, Lakmé will introduce the Gypsy Collection with designer Malini Ramani at the Lakmé Grand Finale. She is the perfect choice, for like Lakmé she has created a collection suited for the modern Indian woman.”
