Designers Ratna and Manish Jain, inaugurated their first hi-end luxury beach resort – Devasthali in Goa with three-day launch celebrations, culminating in a fashion show.
The emphasis was on a resort line including beach wear and ultra-glam evening outfits, with pool wraps that were made in a fabric which doesn’t go limp when wet. Heavy embellishments took a backseat in favour of lightweight comfortable garments with vibrant floral appliqués and tonal silver effect.
After a decade of designing beautiful attire for weddings, fashion designer Ratna Jain follows suit with international designers Versace and Armani, and has come up with the country`s first high-end holiday resort. It consists of luxury apartments and grand villas, rightly named Devasthali – The Valley of Gods.
Built on eight acres of orchards, Devasthali is just 2 km from the airport and 700 m from Hollant Beach, nestled in a coconut grove surrounded by hills. Devasthali offers the very best of Goa, says the vibrant designer.
The beauty of the place is further enhanced by the designer’s creativity. Designed in Spanish-modern style, the villas and resort have been built into the ecology of the area. Its surrounded by lush tropical forests, flora and fauna with a fresh water spring that meanders through the villas, with lotus blooms and tiny fishes in it.
Each cottage is handcrafted and the entire upholstery is designed and created by the designer to create a unique experience for the guests. The first phase is complete with 36 serviced apartments, riverside fine-dining, swimming pool, and a couple of swanky bars. With the completion of its second phase, which will have 11 exclusive villas accompanying a 7-star hotel of 125 rooms, Devasthali, would serve as an ideal place for not just a holiday but also a perfect place for destination weddings and business conferences apart from leisure vacations.
