Unilever, the world’s leading FMCG firm, has committed itself to the environment. The 40 billion euro company has unveiled a ‘Sustainable Living Plan’ in London, Rotterdam, New York and New Delhi, which will halve the environmental footprint of its products, help one billion people improve their health and well-being and source 100 percent of its agricultural raw material sustainably.
“We have ambitious plans to grow the company, but growth at any price is not viable. We have to develop new ways of doing business, which will ensure that our growth does not come at the expense of the world’s diminishing natural resources,” says Paul Polman, CEO, Unilever.
