Luxury home fashion brand Maishaa, from the house of A K Retail Inc, is planning to add more stores in the next few years.
Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Arun Garg, president, AK Retail Inc, said, “We plan to open 20 new stores in major metros in the next two years.”
Stressing that the company’s experience has been very encouraging so far, he said, “The initial success that we received has motivated us to move forward and increase our presence by opening our own stores as well as increase our dealer presence. We believe the Indian market has huge potential and there is a huge space for a brand like ours.”
On where he sees the brand five years down the line, Garg said, “In the next five years, I see Maishaa as a respected luxury home fashion brand.”
Recently, AK Retail has also tied up with Spanish furnishing brand Revert. The brand will be available in India at Maishaa’s exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and other MBOs.
In addition to Revert, the company plans to introduce more international brands in India soon. “Right now we are concentrating only on home fashion. We will expand in other verticals, too, in future,” he said.
Maishaa was launched by A K Retail in 2007. The brand has EBOs in Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
