French salon chain Jean-Claude Biguine has opened its fifth salon and spa in Mumbai. Spread across 2,000 sq.ft of space, the new salon in Colaba has been designed in all white with separate sections for hair and body treatments.
Biguine offers haircuts, hairstyling, texturising, a range of organic and natural spa treatments, facials and many more services supervised by senior French stylists and spa aestheticians. The products used are 100 per cent organic.
Talking about the rapid progress made by the brand in India, Dharmendra Manwani, CEO, Jean-Claude Biguine India, said, “Currently, the Jean Claude Biguine salons are growing at 35 per cent year-on-year. As a company we have just doubled our revenues compared to last year. We are doing gross profits of 20 per cent on an average per salon. The proof of concept is over and now we are ready for rapid expansion.”
He further said, “We have established a very strong foundation with respect to human resource, training, marketing, corporate communication, finance and compliance.”
Established in 1982 and headquartered in France, Jean-Claude Biguine is a 150-mn-euro global chain of salons and spas and one of the leading French beauty houses spanning across 17 countries with 350 salons and spas. In India, the brand has its presence in Mumbai and Bangalore.
