Sticking to its promise of expanding to cover more cities across the country, Talwalkars Better Value Fitness Ltd. has recently launched its health clubs in Gwalior, Ghaziabad and Jamnagar. With these launches, Talwalkars has managed 79 gyms which cover 41 cities.
Speaking on the occassion was Prashant Talwalkar, CEO, who said that they were “extremely happy to open our health clubs in these cities. All three cities are upcoming commercial and residential hubs, and we anticipate spreading fitness to more such centres where we see huge potential and latent demand.”
Anant Gawande, CFO and whole time director, Talwalkars, said, “With the opening of our health clubs in Gwalior, Ghaziabad and Jamnagar, we have further consolidated our leadership position in the health and fitness industry in India.”
Speaking about their future plans, Gawande was quick to say that they were looking at aggressively expanding into other cities of the northern and eastern regions, including tier-II and III cities. However, they are not planning to take the franchisee route at all.
