Tentative plans to integrate Naturals Salons with the CavinKare Salons under the CavinKare brand are under discussion. Speculation abounds that post-integration, Naturals Salons will be the solo branded entity in the salon category under the purview of CavinKare, alongside family salon specialist brands – LimeLite and Green Trends. CavinKare’s already existing specialist brands Limelite and GreenTrends. The Chennai-based unisex salon, Naturals, has 83 franchises and reported a Rs 60 crore revenue in 2009-10. Whereas CavinKare’s Rs 890-crore turnover in 2009-10 has proven that it has enough muscle to fuel Naturals Salon’s expansion plans. With a goal to raise Rs 100 crore, in 2008-09, Naturals was considering raising funds for its expansion plans through private equity. CavinKare offered to fund the expansion and the idea of the integration was born. Both entities being predominantly focused on the southern market, with the integration, they have plans to go pan India, while still retaining each brand’s individual identity in some form.
