Q Cinemas, a venture of OSR Cinemas Pvt Ltd, has recently opened a four-screen multiplex at Gold Souk Grande, Kochi, its first in the city. The multiplex has a seating capacity of 1,000, while the ticket is priced at Rs.80-200.
“The USP of Q Cinemas includes a novel emphasis on child care, along with comfortable bassinets provided in the auditorium – a first for an Indian multiplex,” said Syed Salim, CEO, Q Cinemas.
The multiplex has been designed in an international format with remote-controlled electronic reclining seat, Ten K projection, JBL sound system and home delivery of tickets. It also has special features, including kids’ care centre, wheel chairs for the old and differently-abled people.
Ashish Gupta, vice chairman and joint managing director, Aerens Gold Souk Group, says, “With the launch of Q Cinemas at Gold Souk Grande, movie enthusiasts in Kochi can look forward to a novel movie watching experience with the latest technology.”
Q Cinemas also has a presence in Faridabad, and plans to soon launch multiplexes in Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Ludhiana, Chennai, Panchkula and Noida, among other cities.
