Miki House Apparels, makers of the infant and kidswear brand Mickey, has launched its first exclusive outlet, ‘Fooba Wooba’, in Kolkata. Located at the Mani Square Mall, the 1,200-sq.ft store showcases apparel and footwear for children up to the age of six years. It also has an exclusive collection of nightwear for girls upto the age of seven years.
Fooba Wooba also has a games and educational books section. The books – with a new concept of “Do and Learn” – are mostly musical with pop ups that help children learn while also entertaining them. These books are for children up
to six years of age and are priced between Rs 50 and Rs 300.
Hitesh Ahuja, director of Miki House Apparels, said, “The kidswear market is not a very competitive market and it has a lot of potential. There is huge untapped market and we are trying to fill in the gaps.”
The company is coming up with another exclusive outlet at City Centre II in Kolkata and is planning to open 12 exclusive stores across India by the end of 2012.
