Deneb & Pollux, one of the largest players in the Indian travel business, is venturing into the hospitality sector with the launch of a fine dining restaurant in Gurgaon. The restaurant, ’21 Gun Salute’, will be spread across 6,000 sq.ft and have a seating capacity of 160. It will be thrown open to the public on April 30, 2011.
“21 Gun Salute is a destination designed to make its diners experience the bygone era with a contemporary touch. They will get to relive the royal and aristocratic history of India,” said Madan Mohan, founder of the new restaurant concept.
The restaurant’s design and texture balances the traditional architecture with contemporary design and looks. Three private dining halls in the restaurant assure to give quality to those looking for a close and intimate affair.
The company plans to launch two more 21 Gun Salute restaurants by the year-end. “We will invest Rs 25 crore to expand the presence of the restaurant by the end of 2011. We will open two more outlets – one in central Delhi and the other in Mumbai,” said Mohan.
He added the company was hoping to break even in the next one year.
