Cholayil Private Limited plans to launch 10 premium Ayurveda, or alternative medicine, treatment and spa outlets under the brand name Sadayush across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru over the next three years.
“We are not overly worried about the competition, the customers are always looking for more in terms of offerings and so there is enough scope to develop in this area,” said Nivas Salivan, Cholayil’s VP, Marketing. The new service’s rates will be at least 50 percent higher than current market rates and is likely to target wealthy customers.
Sadayush’s competitors include Hindustan Unilever Limited’s Ayush and Sanjeevanam, which is part of their sister concern Cholayil Care group. The company has invested Rs 2 crores on its first outlet in the Central Chennai area of Mylapore and will look for venture capital for future investments. The south-based company is eyeing a revenue target of Rs 130 crores this year. The company’s new products pipeline includes herbal shower gels and moisturizing creams.
