ChokoLa, a café and chocolate boutique chain promoted by industrialist Vasudha Munjal, has opened a new ChokoLa Boutique kiosk at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. This is the company’s seventh outlet in the Delhi-NCR region.
The recent outlet covers a retail space of 140 sq.ft and is the 9th ChokoLa outlet across the country, with the other two stores located in Mumbai. “The company will also be opening a ChokoLa cafe outlet at DLF Galleria in Gurgaon soon”, said Ravi Pahuja, COO, ChokoLa. This will be a relatively bigger outlet with retail space of 950 sq.ft.
The recent developments are well in line with ChokoLa’s expansion plans to take the store count to the 20-café mark by the end of this financial year by unveiling outlets in the major metros of the country.
By the next year, ChokoLa will also launch chocolates as a retail product, which will be sold through modern food and grocery retailers. “So, basically, by next year we will be having two lines of business – chocolate retailing and cafés,” Pahuja told IndiaRetailing.
The company currently has its presence in Delhi and at Mumbai International Airport.
