Dabur’s Ashok Burman passes away

FMCG firm Dabur India’s Ashok C. Burman, Chairman, Emeritus, passed away in London, today. He was 82 years old and father of current chairman, Anand Burman. “Ashok Burman has contributed to the growth of the company and helped it in attaining the status of a major player in the FMCG industry,” Dabur India said in a statement. He has been credited for starting the in-house packaging division in 1952, introducing the use of computerisation in 1956 and setting up of the export division of the company in 1982
