PZ Cussons hair care brand Charles Worthington has introduced a semi-permanent at home straightening treatment. It claims to leave hair straight and smooth for 40 days. The Salon At Home Straight & Smooth kit has been inspired by Brazilian hair straightening treatments and contains cysteamine, which is an active ingredient that relaxes curls and waves. It also aids in preventing frizz and curls, even in humid condition.
Developed in partnership with Manchester University and being tested on 40,000,000 strands of hair, the treatment has also been credited to minimize the need to go for hair drying and straightening very often.
The formula also contains Argan oil, which is replete with proteins and vitamin E and helps in giving softer texture to hair.
Priced at £19.99, Straight & Smooth is available for both coloured and non-coloured hair and is the first in a series from the brand. The other two Salon At Home kits, the Shine Booster and Strength & Repair, is scheduled to be launched in the forthcoming months.
