Lotto Sport Italia, the Italian sports company, plans to increase its store count from 59 to 100 this fiscal in existing as well as emerging markets for high visibility. The company opened its third outlet in Mauryalok express, Patna following the expansion plans. Spread over 500 sq.ft., the new store houses a collection of men’s and women’s footwear, apparel and accessories.
Early this year, Lotto Sport Italia and Sports Lifestyle announced the extension of its current licensing agreement for an additional fifteen-year period, from January 2011, for the production and distribution of Lotto brand products. The number of Lotto Sport Italia mono-brand stores in India is set to multiply aggressively through the extension of this licensing agreement.
Speaking on the occasion, Lalit Kishore, founder and managing director of Sports Lifestyle, said: “This is possibly the longest ever deal signed by any international brand in India, thus indicating the confidence and belief Lotto Sport Italia has in the Indian market, along with the satisfaction of the strategy, execution and strength that we demonstrated through the past two years of our working relationship. We are determined to make the Italian brand the most significant sports brand in India.”
Along with mono-brand stores, Sports Lifestyle has established a successful presence in more than 180 shop-in-shops, utilizing large multi-brand outlets, such as Shopper’s Stop, Reliance Footprints, Central, Pantaloons, Planet Sports, Ritu wears, Ebony, Standard Max and Chunmu.
Lotto stores are already operational in India in Delhi/NCR, U.P Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, Assam, Uttrakhand, Gujrat ,Orissa, Bihar and Nepal.
