Delhi-NCRs first ice-skating rink has come up in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. The mall will offer training not only in ice skating but also in ice hockey and figure skating.
The ice rink—called iSkate—will be open for “foam” parties, too–with foam blasters covering the entire rink in foam. The Bird Group’s second iSkate project is at Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj which it hopes to inaugurate in December next year.
The fee for using the ice rink is Rs 300 (plus taxes) per person on weekdays and Rs 400 per person on weekends (including skating shoes on hire). Group training will be offered for Rs 300 a day and one-on-one training for Rs 2,500 a day.
“Ice games” that are rarely played in India, such as broomball (which is very popular in countries such as Canada) and ice stock will also be introduced at these ice rinks. The expected footfall for the ice rink is 700-800 on weekends.
According to a JLL report, Ambience mall is the largest operational mall in India, spread over an area of over 1.8 million sq.ft. The mall has almost 1 km of shopping experience on each floor.
