Optical Palace expands in Kolkata

Vision care and eyegear retailer, Optical Palace has opened its 14th outlet in Kolkata at New Alipore. Spread over 300 sq.ft., the new outlet will showcase contact lenses, ophthalmic lenses, sun glasses, and optical glasses by brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Tommy Hilfiger, RayBan, Versace, Vogue, FCUK, Just Cavalli, and Salvatore Ferragamo.

According to MD Hamid, Chairman, Optical Palace Group: “Although the best selling brands differ from store-to-store, but Ray-Ban and Tommy Hilfiger take the lead across all our stores.”

Talking about the target customer base, Hamid said: “We serve a huge segment of customers. The best part about coming to Optical Palace is you can buy something for everyone. To begin with, frames start from Rs 150; ophthalmic lenses from Rs 90 (glass) and Rs 120 (plastic); and contact lenses starting from Rs 250 (i.e. Rs 50 a pair).”

Optical Palace has digital eye examination centre in all its outlets and claims to provide lifetime servicing, repairing, and maintenance at no extra cost.

Apart from having a strong presence in Kolkata, Optical Palace is all set to expand in other metros and will later expand in suburbs followed by tier II markets.
