Smartphone device provider Samsung Electronics has opened its first ‘Samsung Mobile Brand Store’ in Delhi at Select City Walk, Saket. Spread over 1,600 sq.ft., the outlet features Samsung’s smart phones range including tablets and accessories.
Speaking on the occasion, B.D. Park, President and CEO, South West Asia, Samsung Electronics and Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics, said: “The Samsung Mobile Brand Store is a significant step in the direction of creating new, unique, and holistic product experiences for consumers at the retail level. The store will allow consumers to engage and interact with Samsung Smartphones and tablets through convenient table top displays, multiple product demonstrations, and dedicated areas for interacting with Samsung Product Consultants. We are confident that our consumers will enjoy this new approach in Smartphone retailing and we will look at further expanding the Samsung Mobile Store network in the country this year.”
Currently, Samsung offers19 smartphones in the price range of Rs 7350 to 38,250 while its tablet range features three models priced between Rs 30,350 and 39,500. Demonstration of ‘All Share’ for transfer of content across devices, India oriented applications available on the Samsung Mobile application store and applications like Caricatures and usage of the S-Pen on Samsung Galaxy Note are a few services available at the store.
The Samsung Mobile Brand Store network aims to complement the company’s existing and growing number of Smartphone Cafes.
According to the company officials, Samsung Electronics recorded consolidated sales of US$143.1 billion in 2011. The company operates two separate organizations to coordinate its nine independent business units: Digital Media and Communications, comprising visual display, mobile communications, telecommunication systems, digital appliances, IT solutions and digital imaging; and device solutions consisting of memory, system LSI and LCD.
