Footwear retailer Metro Shoes has opened its first store in Kolhapur at Sahapuri. Spread over 1,800 sq.ft., the outlet stocks more than 11,000 pairs of ladies, men’s, and kid’s shoes. International brands available in the store include Florsheim, Lee Cooper, Red Tape, Bulchee, Fila, Franco Leone, and Ganuchi. The store also houses men’s and women’s accessories such as handbags, wallets, belts, and shoe care products.
Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Majid Regional Manager, Metro Shoes, said: “Customers today are looking for exclusive options that match the latest fashion trends with best quality and best price. Metro Shoes gives them an opportunity to shop for all their needs under one roof.”
Men’s shoes at the store are priced from Rs 1,090 onwards, while ladies shoe range start from Rs 590.
Metro Shoes opened its first store in Mumbai in 1947 and is currently present across 215 locations across India. The company operates as an MBO across tier I, II, and III markets. The retailer clocked a turnover of Rs 411 crore in the financial year 2010–11.
