Kitchen appliances brand TTK Prestige has entered a partnership with Germany’s specialty glass producer and technology company Schott AG. The two have jointly launched a range of cooking appliances in the brand name “Prestige Premia” offering gas tables and induction cook-tops targeted at upwardly mobile customer.
Two categories being introduced in the Indian market under the brand Prestige Premia include Schott Ceran glass-ceramic cook-tops for high end Prestige Premia induction cooker and gas stoves made from Schott tempered flat glass.
Speaking on the occasion, TT Jagannathan, Chairman, TTK Group, said: “In order to maintain the brand equity of being the market leaders in the home appliances segment, we have adopted the strategy of harnessing global business relationships. The announcement of the collaboration with Schott today underlines this strategy.”
S Ravichandran, Managing Director, TTK Prestige further added that Indian consumers are rising to be quality conscious and the tie-up with Schott re-instills the brand’s commitment towards catering to the growing needs of the consumers.

TTK Prestige is a part of the Rs 2,500 crore TTK Group. The company is touted as one of the leading provider of kitchen appliances in the country and also has retail showrooms called Prestige Smart Kitchens across the country. TTK Prestige presently has manufacturing set-ups in Hosur, Coimbatore, and Roorkee and 26 sales branches.
Schott AG, with its headquarters in Mainz (Germany), is owned by the non-profit Carl Zeiss Foundation. It claims to have over 125 years of glass development and production experience. According to the company officials, it uses an advanced toughening process to ensure high impact resistance and temperature resistance. The company generated worldwide sales of approximately 4 bn US Dollars for the 2010-2011 fiscal.
