Footwear retailer Metro Shoes has opened its sixth store in Ahmedabad at Mani Nagar. Spread over 1,315 sq.ft., the new outlet stocks more than 8,800 pairs of ladies, men’s and kid’s shoes. International brands available in the store include Florsheim, Lee Cooper, Red Tape, Bulchee, Fila, Franco Leone, and Ganuchi. The store also houses men’s and women’s accessories such as handbags, wallets, belts, and shoe care products.
Speaking on the occasion, Shoeb Arsiwala, Regional Manager, Metro Shoes, said: “Ahmedabad is an important market for Metro Shoes in Gujarat. This is our 6th store and the response has been very encouraging. The city has a strong customer base especially with premiere colleges and organisations. Customers here are very style conscious and seek variety in their choices. By adding another store in Ahmedabad, we hope to reach out to a wider base and provide fashionable solutions to all. Metro Shoes offers around 100 new styles of footwear every week and we have seen customers travel from nearby cities and areas like Maninagar, Ishnpur, Shallam, Godhasir, Vatva, Bapunagar, Gomtipur,Danilimda, and Ramol to pick our brands exclusively.”
Men’s shoes at the store are priced from Rs 1,090 onwards, while ladies shoe range starts from Rs 590.
Metro Shoes opened its first store in Mumbai in 1947 and is currently present across 175 locations across India. The company operates as an MBO across tier I, II, and III markets. It clocked a turnover of Rs 547 crore in the financial year 2011–12.
